Sandbox terms

These terms apply when you use the SOM Managed Bus sandbox: its portal, its bus API and the workspaces in it. The sandbox is operated by R&D Solutions Ltd. ("RND", "we"); our details are on the legal notice.

You accept these terms when you request access, and again each time you connect an app to a workspace. The portal records the version you accepted. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm that you may do so.

1. A test environment

The sandbox is for testing and demonstrating integrations with the Story Object Model (SOM). It is not a production service.

• It comes with no service level: no promised uptime, support hours or response times.
• We may change it, pause it, or reset it, which can remove workspaces, messages and test results. We will try to warn you first when we can.
• It is provided as it is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

2. Synthetic data only

Send synthetic test data only. Never put real personal data, or real unpublished content you need to protect, in message payloads, test runs, or anything else you send through the bus.

If real personal data is sent by mistake, tell us straight away (the contact is in the privacy notice) so we can remove what we can reach.

3. How long things are kept

Messages are kept for replay for up to 30 days, and less in some places: the portal's story timeline keeps 7 days, and test runs are kept for 90 days. The full list, including access requests, accounts and logs, is in the privacy notice.

4. Acceptable use

Use the sandbox only for testing and evaluating SOM integrations. Don't:

• try to reach another organisation's workspace or data, or get around the portal's or the bus's access controls;
• load-test, probe or attack the service, or send malware, beyond what the documented quotas and test tools allow;
• share your credentials or accounts outside your organisation;
• use the sandbox for anything unlawful.

Keep your client secrets and sign-in details safe, and tell us if you think one has been exposed.

5. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove an account, a connection or a workspace, without notice where needed, if these terms are broken, to protect the service or other users, or when the sandbox closes. You can ask us to remove your account or workspace at any time.

6. Your content and ours

What you send stays yours; you give us only what we need to run the sandbox for you. The service, the portal and the docs stay ours. SOM itself is an open standard maintained by the SOM working group, which does not endorse this service.

7. Liability

We don't charge for the sandbox. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, from using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Each version has its own number; this one is 2026-09. When a change matters, we will publish the new version here and ask you to accept it the next time you request access or connect an app.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. The courts in Sofia, Bulgaria, have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer where you live.
